Heroic dog calls 911, reports emergency to save blind owner

Yolanda has previously saved her owner on two occasions in 2013 and 2015.

Philadelphia: Pets tend to become a very special part of our lives in a short time by their endearing behaviour and among these dogs are considered man’s best friend for their undying loyalty. While dogs are shown as saviours in many popular films and pop culture, several have been proving this notion right.

A Golden Retriever named Yolanda from Philadelphia saved the life of her 60-year-old blind owner when the house caught fire with them inside. Yolanda showed heroism when she called 911 and reported an emergency and pulled the owner to safety outside the house.

She has done similar things before when she first came to the rescue in 2013 as she chased away burglars from the house, and after than in 2015 when she called 911 following her owner trip and fall unconscious.

While the owner was later treated with smoke inhalation at the hospital, Yolanda was rewarded by food and toys.
