Startup claims it can make animals younger by adding new DNA instructions
Helping people stay young is something cosmetic brands and several treatments have been promising for ages. Many even go for surgery among other ways to hide the effects of ageing.
Now a startup is claiming that it can make animals younger by introducing new DNA instructions to their body. The Harvard startup came to this conclusion after conducting experiments on beagles.
While the procedure works on pets for now, the firm is also working on bringing the same for humans as well. They are building on previous experiments that showed how changing to genes in flies can double their life span.
The founder of the firm has also stated that he will sign up as a human subject for further research once it is proven to be safe. He says the idea is to have a body and mind of a 22-year-old with the experience of a 130-year-old.
