Telangana: National Board for Wildlife wants multi-tier trees at KBR
Hyderabad: The National Board for Wildlife has asked the Telangana state government to ensure multi-tier planting of trees with a higher efficiency for carbon reduction at the KBR National Park while recommending the Strategic Road Development project.
The board said the jogging track around the park can be continued with greenery on both sides with emphasis on aesthetics. The construction of a multilevel flyover at the KBR National Park came up before the standing committee of NBWL. More than 1,400 trees are required to be chopped in the eco-sensitive zone of the KBR Park to develop multi-grade flyovers to ease traffic pressure.
The board asked the user agency to ensure installing of LED sign posts to display air quality in the area. After discussions, the standing committee felt that the National Board for Wildlife had no role in the KBR Park matter.
