Hyderabad: The department of critical care medicine at CARE Hospitals, in collaboration with Care Institute of Health Sciences and a few other medical associations in the state, conducted a day-long simulation-based trauma workshop at its premises at Banjara Hills on Monday.
Trauma being a major cause of death and disability the world over, makes it a very important health issue which warrants for more awareness and continuous update of knowledge for the caregivers.
The speakers at the event laid emphasis on the importance of teamwork and hands on training in handling the situation. They also discussed the importance of awareness about psychological trauma and physical trauma.
Unless caregivers work towards finding the root cause in case of psychological trauma, the same will remain in people throughout their lives, affecting their ability to lead a normal life, the experts said.
