Rajini flags off mobile medical unit for oral health care

VIJAYAWADA: Minister for Health Vidadala Rajini flagged off a mobile medical unit meant to provide dental care belonging to the government dental college at a programme held at the APIIC building at Mangalagiri on Friday.

Speaking on occasion, government dental college principal Dr Srinivasa Rao said that the vehicle was equipped with all requisite devices to provide services like surgeries, filling, removal of teeth and primary dental care and added that they had come up with plans to take the vehicle to nearby primary health centres, old age homes and schools to provide services.

The programme was taken up under the aegis of the National Arogya Mission and National Oral Health Mission. Health special chief secretary M.T. Krishna Babu and health commissioner J. Nivas were present.
