They claim it has the strength equivalent to a human being who can lift a 26-seat minibus.

Technology has led to possibilities which were hard to imagine a few decades back. Medical science has also come a long way and can treat ailments previously perceived as incurable.

Taking medical technology to another level, researchers have come up with a tiny robotic caterpillar to deliver drugs inside the body. They claim it has the strength equivalent to a human being who can lift a 26-seat minibus.

The robot can adapt to different environments and move easily on various surfaces within the body lined with fluids. It also has one millimetre long legs that look like tiny hair.

Patients are supposed to swallow this caterpillar or it enters the body through a cavity in the skin. It is made from silicon and is embedded with magnetic particles which make it possible to remote control the device.
