Texas: The idea of someone being born for a second time is a common expression when someone recovers from a crisis or transforms their way of life, but what if someone is literally born twice by surviving certain death?
The unusual incident took place at Texas Children’s Hospital and saw a child being removed from the mothers womb, being put back inside and removed again weeks later.
This process was done in order to save the child’s life as a massive tumour was growing on her inside the womb, and any delay in removing would mean the death of the child in the womb.
For this reason doctors decided to perform a complicated surgery where they took out the baby from the womb at 23 weeks and removed 90% of the tumour, after which she was put back in and delivered Lynlee 13 weeks later in June through c-section and removed the remaining tumour.
Although the doctors had to restart Lynlee’s heart during the surgery, the procedure was successful and she was born again as a healthy baby.
