Union Health Minister JP Nadda visits polio booth in Hyderabad
In all, 5,100 people are working on the vaccination drive at 808 booths in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.
Hyderabad: Union health minister J.P. Nadda on Friday said that finding the vaccine-derived polio virus strain from sewage water was a sign that surveillance efforts were efficient. He said that similar strains could be found in future, and there was no cause for worry.
Mr Nadda visited a polio booth at Amberpet as part of the ongoing intradermal polio vaccination drive along with TS minister C. Laxma Reddy. He said number people were coming forward for the vaccination drive and the date could be extended beyond June 26, if needed.
In all, 5,100 people are working on the vaccination drive at 808 booths in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.
