Heartfulness meditation can help beat stress, be positive
Chennai: With our chaotic lifestyle, now stress has become a common household word, and meditation master classes are mushrooming as a new trend. But a new observational study on the impact of the heart meditation technique in reducing stress in college students in Chennai has advocated the effectiveness of heartfulness meditation master classes in reducing stress levels.
There are a variety of popular meditation practices to choose from- transcendental meditation, heartfulness meditation and mindfulness-based stress reduction. However, only heartfulness meditation technique focuses on the heart.
As per a recent study published in the International Journal of Recent Scientific Research by Dr G. Raja Amarnath, consultant, Pulmonology and critical care, Apollo Hospitals, along with Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital, the stress levels of students from different colleges in Chennai was assessed that had reduced by 60 per cent after attending to master classes on heartfulness meditation.
“Heartfulness meditation is not just another traditional meditation teaching, but consists of a bundle of different processes like relaxation, heart-based meditation, yogic transmission and heartfulness cleaning. These processes worked synergistically complimenting the effects of each other and are the likely reasons for such a significant stress reduction.,” says Dr G. Raja Amarnath.
Recent surveys show that 46 per cent of the Indian workforce suffers from some form of stress, with around 87 per cent of women suffering from this condition.
“Heartfulness meditation master classes can reduce these effects by regulating stress levels after functioning over the heart by reducing emotional stress due to overload, worries, tension, and harassment reduced and joy increased after meditation by immune-enhancing effects and can help to alleviate stress and enhance work performance,” said N. Jessie, a psychologist.
Stating heartfulness meditation master classes as important to overcome behavioural changes due to stress, heartfulness meditation trainer Kamlesh D. Patel has observed positive outcomes of this meditation technique. “Pranahuti” or yogic transmission, a unique element of heartfulness system helps a practitioner to go deeper into meditation.
