Science reveals the real reason behind babies moving inside the womb

Findings of a new study point out that a baby’s activity inside the womb may be a way to develop stronger bones and joints. Researchers came to the conclusion that movement stimulates molecular interactions turning cells and tissues of an embryo into functional bones.

It was also found that not enough movement in the womb may leave a child with brittle bones and abnormal joints. Cells make bone or cartilage depending in where they are with movements directing them, and the absence of movement gives out incorrect signals.

Experts say that the sensation of a child moving inside means the baby is developing well and one should consult a doctor in case they notice a reduction in activity.
