Latest advancements discussed at national conclave on gynaecology

Hyderabad: Live demonstration of an advanced minimally invasive surgery, workshops on postpartum haemorrhage, Doppler blood flow studies and hysteroscopy were the highlights of a two-day national conclave on gynaecology that started here on Monday.

Over 200 gynaecologists from across India attended the conclave, ‘Journey in Utero to Senescence.’ Speakers dwelt on the various aspects of women’s health and shared their experiences at handling rare and dangerous complications of pregnant and non-pregnant women.

The academic sessions served as a platform for the participants to exchange ideas and best practices, while fostering professional growth.

The delegates were updated about the latest research, advancements and challenges in gynaecology, said the organising committee chairperson Dr Lakshmi Rathna M., a senior obstetrician and gynaecologist.

Dr Hemalatha Rangachary, a former professor at Gandhi Hospital and Medical College, retraced her professional career and experiences.
