Football sized hernia growing everyday has made life a battle for 13-year-old

Certain disorders can prove to be life altering for people and for children it can be a harrowing experience at an age when they are supposed to be focusing on a lot of things in life. Hernia is known to be making life a battle for people, and in severe cases it can be a daily ordeal.

A 13-year-old from Bangladesh is fighting everyday with a huge mass dangling from his stomach due to hernia, and it keeps growing in size every single day. The football sized hernia has been growing out of his body since Mohammad Sabuz was born.

His father is a daily wage labourer and was helpless when it came to doing something for his child in pain. The family now has hope since Sabuz’s case has come in the spotlight after a social activist brought up his case with authorities.

Mohammad Sabuz is suffering from a complex ventral hernia which means a bulge of tissues is shooting from an opening of weakness in his abdominal wall. Now health officials have come forward to help pay for his treatment.

Meanwhile Sabuz hasn’t let anything come between his hope for a better life as he has been doing consistently well at school despite daily battles with the terrible illness.
