People always thought that one couldn't get pregnant through anal sex, well it’s time to bust your bubble. A new medical revelation has seen a doctor claim that woman can get pregnant through anal sex.

Dr Brian Steixner, a urologist at the Jersey Urology Group in Atlantic City, debunked the myth after he came across such case.

Dr Steixner revealed that he had treated a patient who conceived after having sex with her partner. He witnessed this unbelievable phenomenon when he was a medical student, reports Men's Health.

He said that he has treated a woman with a rare condition called ‘cloacal malformation’ which affects one in 40,000-50,000 people.

This condition occurs in girls when they are developing in their mother’s womb. The result of the condition is that vagina, rectum and urethra fail to separate into three tubes and bodily fluids drain into one channel.

The US woman had even gone through operation when she was young to fix this problem, however it went wrong. As per reports, every month, during menstruation she bled from her anus – but her vagina was a dead-end.

Dr Steixner told Men’s Health the woman reported she only had anal sex before getting pregnant - presumably because it was not possible to be penetrated in the vagina.

According to reports her womb was connected to her rectum.

‘After doing a whole bunch of X-rays, we determined that she got pregnant from having anal sex,' he told Men's Health journalists.

Natural childbirth was unsafe, hence the doctors opted to perform a C-section on the patient.
