Mumbaikars rush to check their fitness and endurance level at the free camp

The aim was to understand their endurance strength and stamina for walking long distance.

Mumbai: Mumbaikars were in for a delight when Oxfam India organised a free ‘walking’ session for all fitness enthusiasts at the lush Mahalaxmi Racecourse on the morning of November 9, 2019. The main objective of this exercise was to make people understand how to endure strength and stamina while covering long distances and under the sun that too. The overcast sky was not a dampener as the rigour of the walk quickly made up for the lack of bright sunlight.

The session which was attended people started with a warm-up session which quickly went into the main 20 km walk and ended with a cooldown time. The free training took some 3 hours. These practice sessions were carried on in Pune as well, over the weekend.
