Boy with mystery condition in Punjab village worshipped as Ganesha
A six-year-old boy from Jalandhar, in Punjab, is being hailed as a reincarnation of the Hindu deity Ganesha after a medical condition caused him to be born with an enlarged forehead and narrow eyes. Pranshu is so popular in his village that crowds visits him outside a temple every Thursday.
Pranshu’s father, Kamlesh, also believes that his son is a divine being. “His eyes were like Lord Ganesha. He was born with a big head and even now the size of his head is growing,” he told the Daily Mail.
It seems that Pranshu also enjoys his important role of a religious figure in his hometown. “I look like Ganesha and people don't even know my real name. My teachers also worship me at the school. My friends don't bully me at all as they believe I am Lord Ganesha. I am happy when people call me Ganesha Ji. It makes me happy. I want to be like this only. I am happy with my big head and face,” he says.
Although the boy was taken to a local doctor a year after his birth, they were not able to properly diagnose his condition or provide any suitable treatment.
