Thiruvananthapuram: HLL Lifecare Limited (HLL) will kick off its Golden Jubilee celebrations by introducing a new football tournament, MOODS Cup, which gets underway here on Wednesday. The event will be formally inaugurated by State Police Chief Lokanath Behera at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium at 5 pm. HLL Chairman and Managing Director R P Khandelwal will unveil the inaugural MOODS Cup while Thiruvananthapuram IG Manoj Abraham will do the Lotto Group selection.
The tournament also aims at developing a new culture based on the values of building a team, forging relationships with the sports fraternity and working in close coordination with various associations for the promotion of sports. “As a healthcare delivery company, HLL has decided to launch MOODS Cup to promote the sport and the brand. Our aim is to improve the quality of professional football in the Indian subcontinent and keep the nation healthier,” said Khandelwal.
This HLL All Kerala Inter Unit Football Tournament Season 1 will be played between the units of HLL, Peroorkada Factory, Corporate Head Office, Akkulam Factory, Kochi Factory and Irapuram Factory on August 12, 13 and 14. HLL directors Dr Babu Thomas and E. A. Subramanian will distribute the team jerseys.
