As a tribute to the selfless service rendered by the nurses towards their patients, The Rotary Cochin Smartcity in association with Aster Medicity and Aster DM Foundation have come forward to help them by providing knee replacement surgery at a subsidised rate. The initiative, A Hand to Walk consists of a series of 25 knee replacement surgeries at the rate of Rs 75,000 per person.
The service can be availed by retired nurses as well as by those who are still in service. Parents or immediate relatives of the nurses can also eligible for the surgery. A screening camp will be held on 13th April , Saturday at Rotary Balbhavan, Panampilly Nagar between 10am and 4pm. Those who are financially not capable will be considered eligible to avail the surgery at subsidised rate. The patients will be provided with high end facilities, treatment and accommodation at Aster medicity.
