Exposure to polluted air for a week can increase risk of miscarriage: study

People are losing as many as eight years of their lives because of the damage done by air pollution.

Air pollution is an issue plaguing residents of cities across the globe and it threatens several grave health consequences. While authorities try to improve air quality, studies predict more deaths and illnesses caused by rising pollution.

Findings of a research have warned that exposure to polluted air can increase chances of miscarriage in women. A week of bad air quality can lead to a 16 per cent rise in risk of having a miscarriage.

People are losing as many as eight years of their lives because of the damage done by air pollution. Living in polluted areas may caused women to lose their pregnancies altogether.
