London: One of the many methods people use to bring down stress and attain peace of mind is music and the right kind of music for every person’s senses can be different since people have different tastes.
As finding the right tune to unwind is important in a hectic lifestyle involving a lot of pressure, scientists seem to have come up with a solution to this as they have found a song that beats tracks of Coldplay and even Mozart at soothing people’s senses.
The song called ‘weightless’, created by Marconi Union in collaboration with Lyz Cooper in 2011, was played to 40 women as they solved puzzles and neuroscientists observed that they experienced more relief as compared to other songs.
The song was seen as stimulating regions associated with processing music as well as regions associated with music. It caused a 65% reduction in stress and is considered 11% more effective than songs by Enya or Adele.
