Back on his feet: Yemeni thanks Bengaluru doctors

He was wheelchair bound and had no access to healthcare.

Bengaluru: Forty-two-year-old Saeed Ahmed from Yemen, who was caught in the civil war in his country, was shot in the spine when he was helping people in his hometown. He was wheelchair bound and had no access to healthcare. With treatment ruled out in his country, he gave India a shot, and came here in 2016. He came to Sakra World Hospital in Sept. 2016 and held consultations with Dr Maheswarappa B.M., Head of Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, and Dr Derick Mendonca, Head of Plastic Surgery. He underwent surgery on September 9 and can walk now.
