The COOL tummy tuck
It might sound too good to be true. A slimmer stomach just in a few weeks with no planks and push-ups. This topic has been the rage around dinner parties and fat-freezing or Cooltech has gained a lot of attention recently after it got rebranded from a spot reduction treatment to a non-invasive alternative to liposuction. Beat the bulge and get rid of belly fat with this quick solution suggested by doctors around the world. Cooltech is a non-surgical procedure, a way to freeze fat forever. This procedure reduces stubborn discrete bulges of fat by freezing.
The coolest trend is making its rounds in Hollywood right now. Celebrities including Molly Sims, Kris Jenner and Gretchen Rossi have all been outspoken about the process. Khloe Kardashian has even credited part of her revenge body to the magic of Cooltech.
The procedure works on the basis of cryolypolysis which underlies the fact that fat cells are more vulnerable to cooling than the surrounding tissues. During the process, fat cells break down, but not the surrounding tissues. Once cooled, the fat cells then undergo controlled cell death and get eliminated through natural system of the body.
During the procedure, two non-invasive cooling panels are applied to the area of fat to be treated. This area is drawn between the two panels. The fat cells will then be cooled for around one hour at -5 to -8 degrees celsius. At first, the area that is being treated will feel a pull when the fat is sucked into the applicator and a bit cold, but after a little while the skin becomes numb and you won’t feel any discomfort.
It takes upto two months to see maximum results. Usually after one session of cooltech, atleast 25-30 percent of fat cells will be reduced making you look slim. And the best part is that Cooltech can work magic not just in your flabs but in other body parts like love handles, arms, bra folds and thighs too. There may be redness which will reduce in a few hours.
Apart from feeling a little uncomfortable at the beginning of the procedure, there is usually no pain attached to the procedure. Unlike other procedures, this procedure can be done even in patients who have diabetes or any metal implants in their body.
