Kozhikode sees 888 fever cases on Thursday
Kozhikode: As many as 888 cases of viral fever were reported on Thursday, according to the district medical office. Of this 15 were admitted. As many as 40 suspected and 16 confirmed cases of dengue and a suspected case of leptospirosis were also registered. As many as 128 ADD (Acute diarrhoeal disease) cases were also reported. Besides, a malaria case was also registered in the district.
District Medical Officer (DMO) Dr V. Jayashree told that three cases of dengue were reported from Kakkodi and two from Mavoor. Other cases are from Kallayi, Vellayil, Payyanakkal, Karuvasserri, West Hill, Edakkad, Olavanna, Chaliyam, Beypore, Chelannur and Thalakulathur. An imported case of Malaria was reported at Thamarasserry. “The health camps, screening and awareness measures are going on in all reported areas,” the DMO added.
