KOZHIKODE: No positive case of Nipah has been reported on the continuous fifth day signalling that the second wave of the virus is weak. Seven suspected cases are at Kozhikode medical college hospital as on Tuesday. Speaking at the press conference here, district-in-charge minister T.P Ramakrishnan said that an all-party meeting to discuss Nipah and its aftermath will be convened on June 10 at the district collectorate.
"Though there is let up in cases, alert will be continued till the month end. Nipah-free would be declared after 42-days of the confirmation of the last positive case. The free food kit has been started distributing through local self government institutes," he said.
