Himachal Pradesh to Host Yoga Masters And Practitioners From 15+ Nations
The objective is for Practitioners to take this learning back to their own communities and help carry Himalayan knowledge to a wider global audience.

Himachal Pradesh is set to become a global meeting point for Yoga, wellness and Himalayan knowledge as Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar leads Masters, instructors, Yoga teachers and practitioners from more than 15 countries on ‘The Journey of the Himalayas,’ a 10-day immersive programme across the state.
Participants from the United States, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, China and several other countries will travel through some of Himachal Pradesh’s most significant natural and cultural landscapes, including Chandra Taal, Kullu-Manali, Vashisht and Jogini Waterfall. The programme will bring together advanced Yoga and meditation, breathwork, wellness practices, spiritual exploration, cultural learning, nature and community engagement.
Rather than approaching Himachal Pradesh merely as a travel destination, the journey will encourage participants to experience the state as a living centre of Himalayan knowledge and traditional wellness practices. Sessions will include advanced Yoga practices, meditation, concentration, discussions on Himalayan philosophy and wellness disciplines, along with periods of silence and contemplation in the natural environment.
Speaking about the initiative, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar said, “Himachal Pradesh is deeply connected with the knowledge and traditions of the Himalayas. Through this journey, we want practitioners from across the world to experience these traditions in their natural environment and understand the deeper relationship between Yoga, nature, consciousness and wellbeing. The objective is for them to take this learning back to their own communities and help carry Himalayan knowledge to a wider global audience.”
The journey will also have a strong educational and community dimension. Akshar Yoga Kendraa will conduct free Yoga, health and wellness initiatives across schools and communities in Himachal Pradesh, introducing students to practices that can support physical fitness, concentration, emotional wellbeing, discipline and healthier lifestyles. The programmes will also seek to build greater awareness of India’s Yoga and cultural heritage among younger generations.
The 10-day programme is part of a larger long-term vision being developed by Akshar Yoga Kendraa in Himachal Pradesh. The organisation is working towards creating dedicated Yoga, wellness, educational and cultural-heritage institutions across the Kullu, Manali and Mandi regions, with a focus on Yoga education, advanced teacher training, meditation and mental wellbeing, traditional knowledge studies, research and documentation, youth development and international cultural exchange.
The participating international practitioners will also be introduced to Akshar Yoga Kendraa’s developing initiatives in the state and its broader vision of building institutions rooted in Himachal Pradesh while creating opportunities for people from India and across the world to engage with Himalayan knowledge and wellness traditions.
Through ‘The Journey of the Himalayas’, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar and Akshar Yoga Kendraa aim to position Himachal Pradesh as a bridge between traditional Himalayan knowledge and a growing global community of Yoga practitioners, strengthening the state’s identity as an important centre for Yoga, wellness, education and Himalayan cultural heritage.
