Woman sues KFC for $20 million because her bucket wasn't filled to the top

She complained that the bucket was half empty and that it had \"small pieces\" of chicken.

Georgia: Last couple of weeks saw a lot of drama and social media frenzy over Pierce Brosnan starring in an advertisement for Pan Bahaar, and it only highlighted how advertisements are never really a true depiction of the product.

But not being able to deliver according to promises made in advertisements can spell trouble for brands as some Indian celebrities also learned recently. Now KFC is facing a law suit for “false advertising” by a woman who was unhappy about her ‘Bucket’.

Anna Wurtzburger from the US filed a $20 million lawsuit against the fried chicken chain, since she had complaints regarding half of the bucket being empty and “small pieces” of chicken, while advertisements show buckets filled to the top.

The 64-year-old said that on calling the Georgia headquarters of the firm, she was told that it was shown that way in ads so that people can “see the chicken”.

She told New York Post that, “They say it feeds the whole family … They’re showing a bucket that’s overflowing with chicken.” She was offered two gift certificates from the fast food giant as apology but refused to take them and sued them for $20 million over a $20 bucket.

Meanwhile KFC told Metro UK that the charges against them were “meritless.”
