Chef Nilza Wangmo Brings Ladakhi Culinary Delights to Hyderabad

The Culinary event The Park Hyderabad x Alchi Kitchen' brings Ladakh's fusion of Tibetan, Indian, and Central Asian flavors to Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Chef Nilza Wangmo will present Ladakhi cuisine at The Park Hyderabad from December 13 to 17. The culinary event, titled ‘The Park Hyderabadh x Alchi Kitchen’ will feature a diverse menu showcasing the unique flavors of Ladakh. Nestled in northern India, Ladakh's culinary heritage reflects a fusion of Tibetan, Indian, and Central Asian influences.

Chef Nilza Wangmo, recognized for her culinary expertise and awarded the Nari Shakti Puraskar in 2019, owns Alchi Kitchen—an all-women’s establishment in Ladakh. The Ladakhi pop-up will provide a platform for Chef Wangmo to introduce attendees to the traditional and diverse dishes of Ladakh.

The Park Hyderabad's Ladakhi Food Festival features a diverse menu of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delights. From enticing starters like Mok Mok and Tain Tain to soul-warming soups like Chanthuk and Pakthuk, and mains such as Chutagi, Gyathuk, Khambir, and Yarkendi Pulao, indulge your palate in Ladakhi flavors.

Complete your dining experience with delectable desserts like Paktsa Markhu, Saffron Paneer Mok Mok, Apricot Rum, and Dassil. Enhance your meal with a selection of chutneys and refreshing drinks, including Apricot Tea and Gur Gur Cha.

The menu will include Ladakhi specialties such as hearty stews, soups, dumplings, and fragrant teas. Chef Nilza Wangmo’s inventive touch will be evident in signature dishes like khambir, a fermented Ladakhi bread traditionally enjoyed with butter tea. She will also present fusion creations like skyu, reminiscent of orecchiette pasta, an array of mok mok (Ladakhi momos), and a saffron-paneer delicacy for dessert.
