Finally, a drip free wine bottle

Daniel is currently talking to bottle manufactures about adopting his design and using it for future bottles.

If you are a wine lover, you may be familiar with dribble streams down the side of the bottle, when you pour a drink into a glass. Thanks to biophysicist Daniel Perlman, you may never go through the ordeal again.

After three years of studying glass bottles, and watching slow motion videos of wine pouring, Daniel solved the dilemma of dripping bottles with a specialised tip. The standard bottle has got a simple change — Daniel has added a shallow 2 mm groove near the bottle opening which prevents drops of liquid from escaping the bottle’s neck.

Daniel is currently talking to bottle manufactures about adopting his design and using it for future bottles. Hopefully, the idea will be well accepted, and dripping wine bottles will be a thing of the past.
