Orfali Bros is recognised as the first Middle Eastern Two MICHELIN Star globally

Dubai: MICHELIN unveiled the fifth edition of its annual MICHELIN Guide Dubai during a ceremony at the recently awarded Three MICHELIN Key hotel Atlantis the Royal Dubai which saw both Trèsind Studio and Fzn Björn Frantzén retain three MICHELIN Stars.

Spanning 38 types of cuisines, the 122 restaurants featured in the MICHELIN Guide Dubai 2026 reflect the breadth and character of Dubai’s culinary landscape, from internationally recognised fine-dining establishments and ambitious homegrown concepts to neighbourhood restaurants and accessible eateries. Together, they offer experiences for a wide range of tastes, occasions and budgets, while reinforcing the role of gastronomy in Dubai’s tourism and economic ecosystem. The MICHELIN Guide provides an important benchmark for culinary excellence, demonstrating the strength of a food culture that has been built over time by the people who have created, invested in and championed it.
His Excellency Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (Visit Dubai) said: “The fifth edition of the MICHELIN Guide Dubai is an important milestone in our city’s journey as a global culinary destination. When the first edition arrived in 2022, our ambition was clear: to give the extraordinary depth, diversity and quality of our culinary scene the global recognition it deserved, while welcoming an internationally respected benchmark that would challenge our industry to continue raising the bar."
“Since then, Dubai has firmly established itself among the world’s great culinary cities, with a dining landscape that spans exceptional homegrown concepts and local talent, internationally renowned chefs and restaurants, and authentic cuisines shaped by a city of close to 200 nationalities. The breadth of restaurants recognised by the MICHELIN Guide, across cuisines, categories and price points, reflects what has always made Dubai distinctive: excellence here is not defined by one style or experience."
“This year’s results are particularly encouraging because they show both staying power and momentum. Dubai’s Three MICHELIN Star restaurants retained their accolades, and we have seen new names join the Two MICHELIN Star, One MICHELIN Star and Bib Gourmand selections, demonstrating how excellence continues to be built across the industry. Established restaurants are sustaining exceptional standards, while new and homegrown concepts continue to emerge, develop and earn recognition.”
Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guides, said: “ We are delighted to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the MICHELIN Guide Dubai today. The selection has grown significantly since its inception and now features nearly twice as many establishments as it did when it was first launched. This remarkable evolution demonstrates that Dubai’s culinary scene continues to thrive, with our Inspectors discovering new internationally acclaimed dining destinations year after year. This year’s combination of homegrown talent and international arrivals reflects a city that is developing its own culinary identity while embracing traditions from around the world. The strength of Dubai’s hospitality sector underlines the city’s hunger, passion and determination to enhance its reputation as a global gastronomic destination, giving food lovers compelling reasons to visit and to return.”
Home to thousands of restaurants and F&B outlets, including world-renowned and homegrown brands, Dubai is known for being one of the most impressive culinary capitals across the globe. The diverse and vibrant landscape caters to a host of varied tastes, preferences and budgets while also supporting the city’s tourism and economic objectives.
