Tarun Tahiliani Presents Bespoke Couture 2026

An immersive couture presentation that brings audiences closer than ever before to experience craftsmanship behind Indian couture.

New Delhi: Tarun Tahiliani presents Bespoke Couture 2026 as part of Hyundai India Couture Week in partnership with FDCI and Nexxus, reimagining the couture presentation as an immersive journey through the house's design philosophy. Staged at the historic Bikaner House, the experience moves beyond the conventions of the runway, inviting guests to engage with couture at an unprecedented level of intimacy.

While twenty models wearing conceptual couture animate the ballroom, dissolving the traditional distance between garment and audience, the larger presentation unfolds as a series of immersive environments that celebrate the artistry, innovation and craftsmanship behind every Tarun Tahiliani creation. Rather than witnessing couture for a fleeting moment on a runway, guests are encouraged to slow down, observe, and experience every detail, from the precision of construction to the intricacy of hand embroidery and textile development.

The presentation begins with twenty models wearing conceptual couture that explores a new language of form - Ang, the Hindi word for "body". These sculpted bodices reinterpret the human form through couture. Layers of padding, hand construction and meticulous tailoring carve the contours of the body, revealing collarbones, shoulder blades, the subtle curve of the navel and the quiet definition of the torso. While the techniques draw upon the precision of European corsetry and tailoring, the body they celebrate is distinctly steeped in Indian aesthetics, embracing its natural proportions and nuances. These bodices are soft and flexible, allowing the wearer complete freedom of movement. It is this balance of structure and lightness that defines this conceptual presentation, with Tarun Tahiliani's signature drapes flowing naturally from the sculpted form.

Beyond the living presentation, Bikaner House also transforms into an immersive journey through the Tarun Tahiliani atelier. Beginning with the corset toiles, guests discover the unseen construction behind couture before moving through florals and a technology-led corridor that reimagines the rhythm of the runway through digital technology. The experience continues into an immersive room where a single temple-inspired garment is juxtaposed with digital projections. The journey continues through the house's enduring dialogue with the architectural language of the jali, brought to life through chikankari, zardozi and intricate threadwork, before moving into a celebration of India's diverse textile traditions through Ajrakh, Kashidakari and resham chikankari.

Ascending to the first floor, the journey culminates in spaces dedicated to feminine expression of the nautch girls, lightweight contemporary bridal in red and the evolving language of Tarun Tahiliani menswear, each reflecting a distinct perspective on the dialogue between craftsmanship and contemporary design.

Technology forms an integral part of the experience, not as a substitute for craftsmanship but as a medium through which it can be experienced differently. Immersive projections, digital scenography and multimedia interventions create contemporary environments that amplify the garments while remaining firmly rooted in the house's India Modern philosophy, where Indian craftsmanship continually evolves through innovation.

Extending this philosophy beyond couture, the presentation also showcases the Titan Nebula timepieces designed by Tarun Tahiliani, reflecting a shared commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, design and contemporary Indian luxury. The beauty direction for the presentation is created in collaboration with Nykaa x Charlotte Tilbury, with hair by Aveda, while guests are welcomed into the evening with Moët & Chandon.

Speaking about the presentation, Tarun Tahiliani said:

"For years, the runway has been the natural home of couture, but I've often felt its finest details disappear in motion. With Bespoke Couture 2026, we wanted people to come closer, to slow down, and to experience the craftsmanship behind every garment. The techniques that define our atelier are centuries old, but the way we present them should continue to evolve. Technology isn't here to replace craftsmanship, but to honour it, amplify it and bring people closer to it. That, to me, is India Modern."

Speaking about the collaboration,Kalpana Rangamani VP- Marketing Titan said:

"Nebula has always celebrated the finest expressions of Indian artistry through exceptional watchmaking. This collaboration brings together two iconic Indian names—Nebula by Titan and Tarun Tahiliani—united by a shared commitment to craftsmanship and timeless design. Conceived for the wedding season, this limited-edition collection reimagines the elegance of Indian wedding couture through the lens of haute horology. Each timepiece is designed as a lasting expression of Indian luxury, created to become an heirloom for the modern connoisseur."

For over three decades, Tarun Tahiliani has redefined Indian occasion dressing through a design language that balances exceptional craftsmanship with effortless sophistication. Bespoke Couture 2026 continues this vision, presenting couture not simply as fashion to be viewed, but as craftsmanship to be experienced.
