A massive display of budding talent

The graduating batch of INIFD had exciting moments as they got an opportunity to work on their first ever fashion show.

As the graduating batch of International Institute of Fashion Design, Hi-Tech City, put their best foot forward at the fashion show organised as part of the annual fest Aahaaryaa, it was quite a show of creativity. Students put their theoretical knowledge to use as they came up with various interesting themes ranging Lantern in the dark, Wildflower in the city, Blues and whites, Timeless classics and many more, for their maiden ramp show.

Speaking about the experience of working for over three months to put together her collection, one of the participants, Dattasai Gogineni tells us, “The real time experience we got is something I will cherish. Understanding the intricacies of putting up a show, even as we handled issues on the backstage was a huge learning curve.”

Another student, Radhika Navandhar talks about how she got a firsthand experience of exploring her interests. “This was my first show and I am glad that I was given time to work on a theme of my choice apart from going into the intricate details to complement that. The support from the faculty has been amazing,” she shares. The students created unique collections putting into practice the various lessons they learnt over the few years of college about fabrics and design, the final product did leave everyone beaming with a sense of pride.

Putting in extensive research and selecting the perfect way to put forth their ideas, the students sure left everyone amazed.
