Four natural kitchen hacks to look your best this Diwali

With Diwali right around the corner, the desire and pressure to look picture perfect is real. But many women find themselves inundated with every kind of chore associated with the festival, that often, there is little time to look and feel good, let alone get some luxurious parlour time.

For that instant glow

-Mash a few pieces of beetroot (boiled and pasted)

- Mix them with half a spoon of sandalwood powder and a teaspoon of milk

- Combine it and apply it on the face

-Wash off with lukewarm water once dry

*Apply aloe vera juice or gel to the face daily, day & night, for natural hydration and to boost collagen

To get rid of the under-eye dark circles

-Juice fresh organic carrots and apply it around the eyes, leaving it on for a minimum of 20 minutes

-Alternatively mix cucumber and honey, and apply the paste around the eyes for a fresh-looking eyes

 

For Acne

-Take a few leaves of mint, wash and grind them into a fine paste

- Add a teaspoon of water and half a teaspoon of turmeric

- Mix thoroughly and apply on affected areas, leaving it on for 15-20 minutes

- Rinse with lukewarm water

- The strong antibacterial properties of mint helps reduce acne and should be applied at least twice a week for best results

For Hair

- Mix two spoons of amla powder, one spoon of coffee and some onion juice.
