India Beach Fashion Week showcases preview collection

Designers showcasing their collections this year include Vikram Phadnis, Anand Kabra, Pallavi Jaikishan and Rocky S among others.

October 23 saw the preview collections of Como India Beach Fashion Week at Olive Bar &Kitchen. IBFW season 5, slated to take place on October 26 will be held at Goa.

Designers showcasing their collections this year include Vikram Phadnis, Anand Kabra, Pallavi Jaikishan and Rocky S to name a few. Apart from them, Love Gen, by Bhavna Pandey, Nandita Mahtani and Dolly Sidhwani, is also set to showcase their collections at Goa.

Speaking about the event, Pallav Ojha – Chief Innovative Officer and Co- Founder went on to say, “We are proud to announce the Season 5 of India Beach Fashion Week with our headlining designers and associated brands. We believe we can bring a paradigm shift in the destination wear industry with what we are doing.” He further added, “IBFW Season 5 is a razzmatazz of great runway shows, larger than life experience and of course some great beach vibes!”

Amit Bakhale, Co-Founder COMO Designers Collective went on to add, “COMO Designers Collective opens its doors this November with its Debut store in Panjim - Campal, Goa. COMO will showcase the latest in Swim, Resort, Cocktail and Luxury Pret collections from designers across the globe, symbolizing the spirit of edgy and stylish men and women. We are proud to have partnered with IBFW this season!”

Volkswagen who will be unveiling their new car at the event saw Kamal Basu, Head-Marketing & PR, Volkswagen Passenger Cars say, “We are proud to be associated with the event and to collaborate with Vikram Phadnis, an icon of the Fashion industry to showcase our flagship offering, the new Volkswagen Passat, at the Grand Finale of IBFW.”

The event, slated to be held at Goa Marriot Resort will showcase India’s one and only Beach and Resort Wear Collections by eminent designers.

About the designers:

Anand Kabra: Known for his ethnic Hyderabad influenced couture, the designer will open the 5th season. A master at fusing the ethnic with the contemporary, Anand Kabra’s vintage prints and embroidered patches showcased in splendid contemporary cuts and styles, are one of this season’s most  awaited highlights.

Pallavi Jaikishen: The designer is all set to showcase a lighter resort wear collection.

Love Gen: The collection promises to showcase pop colors ranging from vibrant yellow to bright pinks and will include cottons, jersey, viscose and knits.

Nidhi Munim: The designers’ collection promises to highlight soft hues, with her Grecian inspired line in soft drapes in colors of olive, white, sand and rose, with a dash of Ikat as well with her cruise wear and swimwear collections

The event will lead up to a finale, with Vikram Phadnis taking center stage. His collection, in blues and greens, with embroidery in zardozi, kundan and pearl, which are his signature, is slated to be the glamorous finishing touch to the Como India Beach Fashion Week.
