This season, it’s all about raising a toast, and celebrating the versatility of trusty trouser! The trouser update clearly gets better and snazzier! Culottes, flared pants, striped trousers and wide legged and rugged ones multiple variants are having a major fashion moment. In fact, celebs world over have been giving us major oggle worthy outfit goals with statement making pants off late. From Sienna Miller and Miranda Kerr going the sleek route with formfitting and dark printed numbers to Sonakshi Sinha and Alia Bhatt playing it casual and comfy in roomy baggy and wide-legged numbers, there’s so much to look forward to in terms of dressing and styling this time around. We decode interesting looks and must do’s to slay in those sexy trousers!

“My vote goes to Jodhpur pants, harem pants, cocktail party and straight pants this season. Jazz up your look by choosing classy knits, funky patterns and pair it with blush shirts, pastel-hued blouses or crop tops. In other words, this is the perfect season to experiment with layers and lengths,” begins designer Brunda Gowda. For blogger Aswathi, straight cut trousers in bold colours make for the win! “You can sport snug fit bottom wear that bursts of a single pop of colour, and balance it out with a well- fitted white button down shirt. Complete the look with pumps! It’s important to choose the right footwear and not overlook the fact that sporting the right shoes helps accentuate the look.”

Designer Prerana Sarkar believes it is important to give stripes a chance, this monsoon. “It is always a great idea to wear striped formal trousers to work! It’s so striking yet simple in its appeal! For a fun night out, settle for cocktail party pants! I would say black works, but settle for pastel shades if you’re in the mod to flaunt a quirky vibe!”

Stylist and fashion entrepreneur Veena Ashiya believes in breaking the monotony with colours that scream fun. “It’s a great time to infuse some eccentricity into your wardrobe.  I love how Rihanna sported bright orange baggy trousers with complete elan! Young girls can emulate the look by balancing it with a snug fitting black crop top. Stripes can also be worn as a topwear, and teamed with an airy culotte as lets not forget comfort and functionality should be the foremost priority while selecting trousers this season.”
