South sensation Regina Cassandra, who was last seen in Telugu movie, Shourya, is cashing in on her popularity. Considering how well known she is, organisers of the Madras Bridal Fashion Week approached the actress to make an appearance as a show-stopper. But they were left in the lurch when the actress backed out at the eleventh hour.
Says a source close to the actress, “Regina backed out from the fashion week to walk as a show-stopper for free. The organisers even offered to gift her the show-stopper outfit.”
It seems like money was an issue for Regina, and the source confirms. “Regina instead opted for another big-ticket for a fatter pay cheque,” the source says. Attempts to contact the actress were unsuccessful.
Aditi hikes fee
While Aditi Rao Hydari was in the news for her rumoured affair with Wazir co-star Farhan Akhtar earlier this year, she’s now in the eye of the storm for allegedly hiking her fees up for walking the ramp at fashion shows.
A source close to the actress reveals, “Aditi has upped her price to walk the ramp for an upcoming fashion week. Earlier, the actress would charge between Rs 2 and Rs 3 lakh but now the actress has increased her fee to Rs 6 lakh.
Several designers have approached the actress, but she seems to be giving a tough time to all.” The source added, “None of the designers have roped in the actress so far, considering her high demands, and are planning to zero down on other actresses for the same.”
When contacted, Aditi’s spokesperson refuted the rumours. “Aditi has been declining offers from several designers since she’s not in the country during those dates, and her travel dates were blocked way in advance.”
