It's fun to sneak' around
If you had a childhood spent in sneakers, you know how well they can make a statement. Sneakers can always make the difference between a basic and a banging outfit but it can be tricky to find out what goes well with a pair of tennis shoes when you don’t want to come off as too casual. We are always partial to wearing sneakers whenever possible and these fashion designers tell us how to wear every day, be it workspace, parties or night outs!
“Sneakers are a major rage right now and I've realised there's no harm in pairing them with literally anything. Be it dresses, skirts, formal wear, and nowadays even Indian wear. After all, there is nothing one should choose over comfort. I think they look Uber cool when worn even under lehengas these days. When a bride wears a lehenga then she has a lot of pressure to carry it off well. Make-up, jewellery and of course the heavy-bridal outfits, now wearing heels adds to the pressure and if sneakers are worn instead then the look gets comfortable. This will be a new trend i.e. chic-bride - a bride donning shades and sneakers is very classy,’’ Aanchal Jaggi, a Fashion Designer.
Another city based designer Mithi Kalra says that its always a right combination when it comes to snickers. “A trend with which no can go wrong because there is mostly no wrong way to wear sneakers all you need is a pair of denims, tee and your sneakers to be able to create multiple combinations. The trend to sport sneakers is now not just limited to wearing ones with jeans and tees but also can be easily combined with polo dresses, denim jackets, jumpsuits, sweatpants and your favourite pair of shorts as well.
As the trend for sneakers is taking on we see almost everyone wearing them with their different types of combinations,” says fashion Designer Mithi Kalra.
Shilpa Bhatia who is a fashionista and who owns an online portal for outfits speaks about sneakers thats making the high fashion rounds these days. “White sneakers the retro adidas ones have been doing the High fashion rounds, worn with dresses, jumpsuits, denims and much more. Italian men got the trend of white sneakers to the world and wore it casually with their well tailored suits.” says Shilpa Bhatia.
