This is the year of Indo-western clothes, showcasing the best of Indian textile in western designs, cuts and styles. Poochampalli, ikkat, the popular madras checks are all making a comeback as maxi dresses, dungarees and even skirts. Playing around with fabric is what I recommend.

Natural fabrics such as jute, linen, malmal, pure silk will be the focus this year. Embellishments on garments whether in the form of pearl work, stone work or even a brooch is what the party circuits will see.

Sarees will get a facelift with exciting blouses with dramatic, exaggerated sleeves with flares, frills, cold shoulders and interesting cuts.
