There is always a fascination towards co-ordinating outfits with your girl friends. This fashion trend, has been sported by our very own Bollywood divas as well, and is definitely worth giving a shot. Here are some tips on how your girl clique can pull this off.

The Kardashians posted a picture on Instagram of them co-ordinating their outfits and they sure did make a lot of heads turn. To have your special #SquadGoals moment, you can start off by matching the same colour. Angelene Pretha a fashion designer opines, “Wearing the shades of same colour is an easy and simple way to co-ordinate with a group. Or you can spice it up a bit and get bedazzled denim pants like The Sisterhood of Travelling Pants or even jackets like the Flossy Possies from the movie Girl’s Trip. This can be casual and trendy. If you want to bring in that element of drama all the way then co-ordinating from head to toe is your way sister! “

Contrary to popular belief however one must always aim for comfort over style.

“Keep the comfort zone of each and everyone in the group in mind. Everyone won’t be comfortable with wearing just about everything,” says Shristi, a design student.

Katherine Anne, a fashion design student gives you some glam tips. She says “Make-up and hair is tricky business and plays a vital role in bringing out your squad’s personality. But, wearing the same makeup and doing your hair in the same manner can mask the group and block that quirkiness. It is best to maintain some individuality and go with what suits you best but doing this with your girls can help in bonding and reduce those burns you get while styling your hair alone.”

Giving you some tips for a casual look is Farah Mirza, a designer. She says, “Plain white tee and blue jeans with leather or feather jackets and a pair of sneakers can fit perfectly and give a touch of sass to your girl gang.”

Speaking about party wear Farah adds, “If you’re going out for a ladies night then do not hesitate to go all out! You can rock those LBDs with stilettos and accessorise of your choice and watch those jaws drop!”

Let’s not leave our men out of this trend, All though this seems like a trend only for women even our men can be seen flaunting their silk shirts and white dhotis (vesti) that will never go out of style!
