We often feel fascinated by the cultural diversity of India. If you might have noticed, each and every community in India has a peculiar way of dressing.
For example even a sari, an Indian traditional wear which is worn in various part of India, is don differently in each and every part of India.
In this post we bring you a video “Drapes of India” which recently went viral on Internet.
The video is created by artist Shweta Malhotra and was for a show at the Lokal Gallery in Helsinki.
“My inspiration behind the piece mostly stemmed from my personal experience of not wearing saris because the last time I wore one I had to get it re-draped about three times,” Malhotra told BuzzFeed.
The video curates 12 different types of drapes of sari.
The number of drapes in the video represents just a part of India.
