Governor S. Abdul Nazeer
Vijayawada: Governor S. Abdul Nazeer conveyed greetings and warm wishes to all Muslim brothers in Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of EId-ul-Adha to be celebrated on Thursday.
In a statement from Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday, the Governor said that Bakrid holds immense significance in the Islamic faith and is celebrated with special prayers and great reverence. It symbolises sacrifice, absolute devotion to the Almighty, compassion for the poor, and emphasises principles of sharing. He wished that the spirit of charity and goodwill towards all be cherished.
