Srisailam starting free sevas for white card holders from tomorrow

KURNOOL: Srisaila Devasthanam is introducing free “Uchita Samoohika Sevalu” for white ration card holders from Tuesday, April 25.

Making the announcement, temple executive officer S. Lavanna said as part of Dharma Pracharam by the temple, they will provide every month free services to those who cannot bear the expenditure of Arjitha Sevas.

Every month, 250 tickets will be available for free sevas. Devotees, who are white card holders, can register through the temple’s website www.srisailadevasthanam.org.

Those selected can perform Kumkumarchana on May 12, Mrityunjaya Homam on June 12, Sravana Varalakshmi Vratam on August 25, Ganesa Puja on September 18, Chandi Homam on October 27, Sri Swamy Ammavarla Kalyanam on November 30, Mahanyasa Purvaka Rudrabhishekam on December 27, Rudra Homam on January 25 next year and Srivalli Devasena Sametha Subrahmanyeswara Swamy Kalyanam on February 16.

Lavanna said devotees selected for free sevas will also get free Alankara Darshan of Lord Siva and His Consort Sri Bhramaramba Devi via a special que, as well as Sparsha Darshan of Vruddha Mallikarjuna Swamy.

Devasthanam will offer two laddus, kumkuma, vibhuti, Kailasa kankanam, Srisaila Prabha, cotton kanduva and silk jacket piece, along with free anna prasadam at the Annapurna Bhavan.

The executive officer appealed to devotees to utilise the facility from Tuesday, April 25 itself.

Marking the opening ceremony, there will be a massive Abhisekham at Chandravathi Kalyana Mandapam at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the day of Arudra Nakshatra.
