Twin Cities Soak in Christmas Spirit

Hyderabad: The twin cities is buzzing with the festive spirit as pre-Christmas services and carol programmes set the mood for the grand Christmas celebration. In the run-up to the festival, numerous churches organised events, including carol singing and nativity plays.

One notable event took place at CSI Wesley Ramkote, featuring a candlelight service in which a thousand devotees took part. Rev. T. Bhasker delivered a gospel message before the carol were sung. Pereji Shirasha Sundhri, a member of the church, was excited about the event saying, “Families coming together creates a Christmas atmosphere.”

CSI Wesley Chilkalguda held a service with traditional hymns, seven Bible lessons, and a candlelight service. The choir, led by Ashish on the organ and Nelson Mandela on the bass guitar, helped the congregation get into the Christmas mood.

The Angels Trumpets Ministry organised musical concerts as part of the pre-Christmas celebrations, featuring renowned gospel singers like Vijay Benedict, Sunil Jaipuri, and Tahira Sherril. The group, which also participated in the UCC Christmas programme, presented a diverse cultural showcase, including Nepali dances, songs, and Telugu Bharatanatyam performances. Rev. Angelina Masih initiated this vibrant event.

At John Wesley Methodist Church in Goutamnagar Malkajgiri, a candlelight service was held. Pastor Dr D.H. Paul mentioned the active involvement of the women's committee, Sunday school children, and youth who took centre stage. Gifts were distributed among the enthusiastic participants, adding to the festive joy.
