Myanmar delegation visits Nagarjunakonda Museum

VIJAYAWADA: A high-level delegation from Myanmar's Ministry of religious affairs and culture visited the Nagarjunakonda Archaeological Museum and recreated Buddhist monuments as part of a study tour on Thursday.

Nyo Myint Tun, deputy director general of the ministry, and the team were given a briefing by museum representatives on the historical importance of Nagarjunkonda, recreated Buddhist monuments, Buddhist sculptures from the Ikshvaku period (3rd century AD), and Acharya Nagarjuna's contribution.

The team expressed gratitude to the AP government for making their visit to Nagarjunakonda possible. The delegation was joined by Dr Lazwanth Naidu, Assistant Director of the Nagarjunakonda Museum.
