Rhea reiterates rule of beauty: who cares'

Film producer Rhea Kapoor sends out an online reminder for body positivism

In a recent Instagram post, Rhea posted a picture of herself standing on a white-sand beach looking gorgeously hot in an olive-coloured two piece bikini, as she peeps through the lens of a camera. The tastefully taken picture shows off the 34-year-old’s curves and her complexion, which perfectly complements the colour of her two-piece.

But it was the caption to the picture, holding high the idea of self-love, which got netizens’ attention. It said, ‘I thought I was fat. We can never win with ourselves can we? But we can try. Like Tina Fey says “If you retain nothing else, always remember the most important rule of beauty, which is: who cares?” ???? In vintage @shivanandnarresh from the boys 1st ever!’ (sic)

The post, which got close to 40,000 likes and about 230 comments in about 3 hours since the picture was posted, had several of Rhea’s friends and close ones complimenting her body. Jaqueline Fernandez for instance said, “Hottest bod
I’ve seen in a while!!! [Heart emojis] (sic).”

Narresh, of Shivan and Narresh whom she credited for her bikini, commented, “YOU LOOK HOT AF [fire emoji] (sic).”

Quoting Baz Luhrmann’s much loved song Sunscreen, another handle, “lostjourno”, commented, “You are not as fat as you imagine – Sunscreen by Baz Luhrmann (sic).” Rhea’s reply to lostjourno was, “@lostjourno I was 28, it was my 10 year anniversary of thinking I am fat [laughing emoji] (sic).”

Rhea Kapoor is the daughter of Anil Kapoor and sibling of Sonam Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor, who is also a stylist and a self-confessed foodie and chef,
Rhea is the producer of films such as Aisha (2010), Khoobsurat (2014) and Veere Di Wedding (2018). She also co-owns the apparel brand Rheson with her sister.
