All that glitters

The Kerala Gem and Jewellery show in Kochi brings together a large collection of bling from across the country.

Kochi is the one-stop destination for three days from December 2 to 4 to host a breathtaking collections of gems and jewels at the Kerala Gem and Jewellery Show (KGJS 2017). The grand event brings together jewellery manufacturers, artisans, designers, technology service providers, wholesalers, and retail jewellers across the country under one roof at CIAL exhibition centre, near the Cochin International Airport.

The expo will feature roughly 200 stalls with four focused pavilions for gold, diamond, allied items and advanced equipment and technologies. The expo is an opportunity for merchants and manufactures of Kerala to analyse new designs from the entire part of the world.

Exclusive jewellery collections in Italian, Turkish, Singapore and Malaysian designs, a wide array of temple collections of South and North India, exhibits of artisans and jewellers from Kolkata, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Jaipur, Haryana, Chennai and Bengaluru are the highlights. The exhibition also gives special focus to Kerala’s light-weight jewellery, customised designer collections, plain gold and studded jewellery, diamond jewellery, platinum jewellery, fine jewellery, loose diamonds and gems, jewellery watches, silverware and silver jewellery.

A high voltage fashion show on Sunday will have models showcasing a diverse array of traditional as well as custom-made designer ornaments in gold, diamond, gems and pearls. Seminars and workshops on a series of topics are part of the show.

The attendees also need to present a valid photo identity card, preferably Aadhar, for verification before entry.

Visitors under the age of 16 are not allowed.
