Video: This Harry Potter fan theory about Severus Snape will blow your mind
Generations have grown up on Harry Potter as they have religiously followed the magical tale which unfolds at Hogwarts through seven books and eight films. One of the most intriguing aspect of this story has been the relationship between Severus Snape and Harry Potter.
But one fan theory describes how readers could have known about Snapes real intentions in the first book itself, and he is spot on.
This might come as a shock but Tumblr user Tomhiddles mentions that,
The first thing Snape asks Harry is “Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?”
According to Victorian Flower Language, asphodel is a type of lily meaning ‘My regrets follow you to the grave’
Wormwood means ‘absence’ and also typically symbolized bitter sorrow. If you combined that, it meant ‘I bitterly regret Lily’s death’.
Now who would’ve thought of that?
