Cartoons for world peace

The cartoons portrayed different ways in which we can make this world a better place.

As part of the World Peace Day, a unique exhibition featuring 40 cartoons by students of Azharul Uloom College, Ernakulam, was held at Pachamama Art Cafe, Aluva, on September 21 and 22. Organised jointly by the Petals Globe Foundation, Cartoon Club of Kerala and Sevana Library, the exhibition was inaugurated by Azharul Uloom College Trust chairman M.A. Moosa Sahib.

Caricaturist Ibrahim Badusha, Library Council's Ernakulam district secretary M.R. Surendran, Petals Globe Foundation chief coordinator Sanu Sathyan, Komu Sons Art Gallery chief Asif Ali Komu, Abdu Raheem Umari, Abdu Salam and Sevana Library council members M.P. Nithyan and Sahad were also present at the function.

Curated by Badusha, the students’ cartoons portrayed different ways in which we can make this world a better place. A three-day workshop on cartoon, led by the curator, was held prior to the exhibition to shortlist students.
