Writing has been her passion ever since she learnt to read and write and she wants to reach out to people across the world through her words.
Bengaluru-based author Deesha Sangani who works in the corporate sector firmly believes that a person can never be too old to set another goal in life. With her book 90 Steps towards Beginning of a Journey, she hopes to give a holistic approach to deal with day-to-day situations which are blocking your way to reach your goal in life. The book carries great motivational value for people to help them find their true calling.
“The thought of penning a book crossed my mind when people told me how my writing was inspiring and had changed their life. The book is for people across generations. There are a lot of life experiences shared in the book that people can relate to. When one hits rock bottom, one is left with no choice but to rise up and that’s when your inner voice tells you to do something above and beyond without any fear. I always wanted to have my identity and I learnt one thing – Identify your passion and someday your passion will become your identity. Robin Sharma and Rhonda Byrne are some of the authors who have inspired me a lot,” shares Deesha.
The young author who is a corporate professional by day and writer by night, says, “If you’re passionate about something then it’s not challenging at all, rather it is more interesting and one creates time for it. I would do my writing in the night. I sleep for four hours every day, because I believe life is too short to spend time sleeping. I would rather spend time doing things that I’m passionate about.”
When she’s not working or writing, Deesha likes to dabble with other things that she’s fond of. “I’m also a motivational speaker and through my writing and speaking, my only aim is to make a difference to the world out there and touch as many lives as possible. Travelling is another hobby I cherish as it helps me generate more ideas for writing and gives me a broader perspective of looking at life. Do fall in love. Once in a lifetime, not necessarily with a person, but with your goal – that would be a reason to wake you up every morning with a smile.”
