Check out these funny, abridged versions of classic novels

Cartoonist John Atkinson has reduced the size of these classic books to just handful of words and it's hilarious.

Not everyone loves reading classic literature. People can be divided into three categories:

  1. People who have read classic literature.
  2. People who pretend they have read it.
  3. People who keep saying some day they will, but never will.

However it’s not the fault of the people who haven’t read these books. After all reading classic novels is not less than a task. It seems never ending, for example War and Peace is over 1,400 page and Don Quixote is approximately 1000 pages.

However, now you don't have to worry, Cartoonist John Atkinson has done a wonderful task of reducing the size of these books to just handful of words.

Look at the illustrations below and pretend like you know these stories.

John told Bored Panda that he’s planning on doing at least one more in the series, but he hasn’t decided which books to include yet.
