Learn calligraphy and sketching
Two workshops — modern calligraphy workshop with pointed nib pen by Shunthini and charcoal sketching workshop by Arunita — are in line for those who are looking forward to improve their skills. In modern calligraphy workshop that will be held on June 2, Shunithi, a native of Tamil Nadu, will focus on different aspects of the artform such as basic strokes, lowercase alphabets and words formation.
Arunita’s charcoal sketching workshop will cover basics of charcoal drawing and advanced techniques used for hyper realism compositions. The session will take place on June 9.
A native of Kolkata and currently based in Bengaluru, Arunita holds bachelor’s degree in fine arts. She has worked as story board artist in the Bengali film industry. Shunthini loves to experiment with both the traditional and modern calligraphy.
All materials required for the workshops will be provided at the venue — The French Toast, Kacheripady — along with lunch and snacks and beverages. Time is from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm. Entry is restricted by registration.
