A guide to meditation!

Naveen Varshneya’s book, Meditation—The Cure is a surefire formula that not only teaches you the art of meditation.

It is often said that solitude helps heighten awareness. The calmer we can get ourselves to become, the closer we become to the creative energies of the cosmos. But, in the midst of screen-lit bustle, the last thing we’d consider is sitting in silence for a couple of minutes, totally oblivious to the cure it carries. For, the cure is within you and has always been.

Author Naveen Varshneya learned this early on — and the same is mirrored in his offering, Meditation— The Cure. The book decodes how distress, disorder, and disease are formed and ways to reverse them. With a rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars, it’s easy to assume that Naveen always wanted to tread the authoring part. But, the entrepreneur humbly chooses to disagree. He elucidates, “No, Never! But now that is the only goal. As I pick up the threads of my past, I discover that decoding mysteries and researching life was always an obsession. I would always ask - ‘why do certain events happen? Why do people think the way they think and I will attempt to decode the sequence of events which might have been the factors.’ I would apply permutation and combination and integrate my observation with the wisdom and teachings of my father.”

With the plummeting repute of self-help books, conjuring something up on similar lines is indeed a dicey choice. But, Naveen asserts it’s not the same ol’ same ol’. “Meditation— The Cure is not really like any other self-help book. This is first of its kind book, in the history of mankind, which has been written after seven long years of proving its science and techniques on all kind of sufferings- from small distress like unhappiness to chronic diseases like cancer. It tells you how to turn inwards to discover your code. It outlines the step-by-step process to do a three-week course with the three techniques. It has a special section on how to quickly start within 30 minutes, on any terminal case of suffering at home, such as old aged parents and reduce their sufferings without stepping out of the house. It has no interference with any other intervention one may be going through. It, in fact, enhances the efficiency of other interventions.”

While the 372 pager certainly doesn’t make for a balmy afternoon read, it’s clearly worth the investment made in terms of the time spent on reading. The book outlines a comprehensive step-by-step process to do a three-week course with the three techniques. So, it pretty much takes a newbie meditation enthusiast through what’s the real deal. The book has a special section on how on ways to heal yourself through interesting yet doable exercises.

Like most authors, Naveen too has an interesting tale that deserves to be told, with regard to how this book transpired. “I had an absolutely blissful childhood like any other normal child in those days; until I lost my mother to an accident. This fired my curiosity about life. In the absence of answers from people, my reading turned more intense, while I would still understand none. One day, in anger, my father took away those typical detective books, which he thought of as a bad influence on me, and replaced it with a voluminous book on naturopathy. I was very upset with him for two days; on the third, I picked that book and finished reading it, almost non-stop. There was nothing in my growing-up years or even in my adult life to suggest that I would ever write a book. Having now written a book for common people on how to find the cure within; when I look back, I attribute it to that day when my father gave direction to my curiosity,” he reveals.

The book is a product of seven years of planning and one-year of mindful execution. “The book was written over a period of one year. The vision, I may not want to call it my expectation, is to take the Cure to every household.”

An entrepreneur by profession, Naveen founded NV life to help people decode and fix the bug. “We all are part of a design. Human life is not designed for suffering. Each one of us has a code and algorithm. Any kind of suffering is a deviation from the plan and a result of not being connected within, to access the code.”

The book has four sections. Section one establishes how we got distorted and why the cure has always been inside. The second section details out with how to decode your sufferings and section three has the step-by-step process to start reversing sufferings. Section 4 has case studies.
